5 WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR ENERGY THAT YOU NEED TO TRY!

Posted on 7/13/2020 10:37:44 AM

Have you ever avoided answering a phone call from a certain someone because you knew that by the time you hung up you’d feel drained? …Or maybe even avoided attending a certain event or an encounter with someone you know because by the end you knew you’d feel wiped out? We all avoid certain people, places and situations (even the ones we love) because sometimes we just don’t have the extra energy to give. And that’s ok…

BUT…What if I told you we don’t always feel drained because of the extra energy we’re giving and instead because of the extra energy that is being taken from us, as well as some not so great energy that is being left behind; like muddy footprints left on a fluffy white rug. Whether we believe it or not, everyone and everything is made up of energy or “vibes” and it’s up to us to protect ours.

Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to learn some pretty cool ways to protect, save and replenish my energy. I’ve noticed a difference. I’ve shared these SIMPLE but EFFECTIVE  tricks with friends and they’ve noticed a difference too. Now I’m going to share them with you in hopes that you may find one that resonates or works for you. So, here it goes….

5 WAYS to SAVE, PROTECT & REPLENISH YOUR ENERGY!

1. “You can talk to me - But you can’t have my energy”

    • Before engaging in any type of interaction or scenario that you know will have you feeling drained - make this mental note: “You can talk to me; but you can’t have my energy”.  Set the intention!  Do it before answering that dreaded phone call or before that grocery store banter you used to avoid.  This trick is simple, but it works and usually after the first time using it. Our energy is untouchable without our consent.

2. The Invisible Shield

    • This one is more of a visual thing. Close your eyes and envision yourself stepping into a see-through cocoon like bag that has a zipper running from the base of your feet to the crown of your head - and ZIP THAT SH*T UP! Set the intention that NO negative energy can get passed this shield, and that only 100% white light or “good vibes” are welcome through.
    • This can be done before walking into a location that usually has you feeling pooped by the time you leave, like a mall or business meeting. This happens because when we enter places like this we can pick up on other peoples energy/emotions and it can stick to us, like germs after shaking hands with a guy who secretly picked his nose. BUT GUESS WHAT?! This exercise will help with that and like the first tip, usually after the first time using it. This is also something that can be practiced every morning before you start your day!

3. Wash It Down The Drain

    • When you’re in the shower or bathtub washing away the day, envision yourself also washing away any negative energy, ties or even hurtful words, scenarios or situations that you’ve taken on throughout the day or week.  Imagine all of it going down the drain with the bubbles. If you’re having an off day, week, or even month - this is a good thing to practice.

4. Cut The Chords

    • If you have someone if your life that brings you feelings of negativity in the form of anxiety, upset, heartbreak, fear, etc…Try this: Close your eyes and envision this person standing or sitting across from you. Imagine that the two of you are attached by a chord that runs from their body to yours. Then, envision yourself cutting the damn thing! Set the intention that they are no longer able to access any of your energy as the chord has been cut and is no long attached to you.
    • You see, the ones that drain our energy can be both people we really know and people we don’t really know at all. However, because we are most invested in the people we know - partners, family members, friends, co-workers, etc. REALITY IS: they can usually be the ones that drain most of our energy. Practice this. Set the intention. Although this can work immediately as well, it may not always. Don’t be dissuaded though, the more you do it the more you’ll notice a difference.

5. Send It Down The River

    • This last one can be done as a mediation or even just laying in your bed before falling asleep. Close your eyes. Slowly inhale and exhale. Envision yourself sitting under a big beautiful tree. On one side of you there is a pile of boxes. On the other, there is a beautiful flowing river. As you continue to breath - any person, place, thing or senecio that pops up and leaves you feeling any negativity: put it in a box, and send it down the river; watching it float away. Keep in mind - some things may pop up more than once. Thats O.K. The more you practice this, the less boxes you will have to fill.

Well, there you have it! 5 tips and tricks that have worked for me, worked for my friends and that I hope will work for you too! At the end of the day there are many different ways we can work to protect our energy from getting drained or murky… the important part is the INTENTION we put behind the practice(s) we choose to use. I can guarantee that if you practice with intention - you’re bound to feel a difference.

Please drop a comment to let me know which tip you tried and how it worked for you. Cheers to living your best energetic life!
